This course is designed to give experienced operational and administrative employees the opportunity to become skilled or expand on current Work Health and Safety knowledge and capability. This qualification is particularly suited to employees working in a formal WHS role under varying levels of supervision. The course is also suitable for anyone not employed in a WHS role, but has day to day responsibility for safety in the workplace.
Students enrolling in Certificate IV Work Health and Safety must have a broad understanding and experience in the WHS role. Students must be involved in WHS management as part of their employed role.
Vocational Training Services provides individuals with Learner Guides, Assessment Tools and Workshop hand-outs.
The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process involves the collection of relevant evidence to meet the assessment requirements outlined within the qualification. Once the criteria is met, the qualification can be awarded.
The process is not intended to be time-consuming or require a laborious search for historical evidence. Most of the assessment involves direct interview and observation related to your employment and collection of paper-based evidence to support your nomination.
