Future Chef Job Ready Program

Introduction

If you have a passion for food and love the idea of working in a fun and fast-paced professional kitchen, creating beautiful and delicious dishes, the Future Chef Job Ready Program offers you training combined with work placement in a commercial kitchen, plus the opportunity to connect with apprenticeship opportunities and get cooking on your future chef career!

Skilled chefs are in high demand here in Western Australia, and all over the world — you’ll have a smörgåsbord of job opportunities to choose from, for years to come.

Everyone is welcome to register for this program — young people, mature age persons and women are particularly encouraged to apply.

Mode of Study

The delivery of this course includes classroom-based face to face training, practical training and supported self-study and research.

Additionally, you will be required to complete 4 days of work placement.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements to study this qualification, although students must be able to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) and identification.

Students must also complete a short Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment to assist VTS in identifying a learner’s eligibility and individual needs.
