Growing Together in Bidyadanga

This year marks an exciting milestone as the SEE Program officially took root in the Bidyadanga community. Since launching, we’ve had the privilege of supporting many local men and women on their educational journeys.
For the past few months, our classes have been held at the Women’s Centre — a hub of learning, connection and resilience. Despite challenges such as Sorry Camp, fires, flooding and other community events that made attendance more transient than usual, the spirit of Bidyadanga has remained strong.
We’re now thrilled to celebrate with an Open Day at the Women’s Centre, showcasing the ladies’ efforts in bringing their community together. One of our proudest achievements has been the garden project, inspired by the Ready to Lead SEE program. The garden is nearly complete — seedlings are ready to be nurtured and with the support of KRCI staff, the ladies have learned how to safely use garden tools and equipment.
Collaboration has been key: we’ve reached out to the Men’s Shed to help craft tables and chairs for the Centre, building new partnerships and connections along the way.

The ladies of Bidyadanga have shown remarkable dedication—seeing a project through from start to finish, building new digital and communication skills and strengthening ties within their community.
Well done, Bidyadanga! Your growth, teamwork, and determination truly embody the spirit of lifelong learning.
